About SweatDebt

A bad idea that got better every time we explained it.

Sponsored challenges are as old as charity itself. We just made them louder, fairer and a lot more public. On SweatDebt, every donation becomes distance debt — kilometres the fundraiser has to physically repay by running, riding, swimming or walking, all verified and tracked live. You give to a cause; they sweat for it; everyone watches.

The loop

Donors inflict

Pick an amount and a discipline. Your money goes to the cause and converts to kilometres at the fundraiser's published rate. Leave a taunt; climb the Most Wanted board.

Debt stacks

Distance owed grows with every donation and rolls over weekly if unpaid. A dynamic rate keeps the goal achievable — but the obligation is real, and it never disappears.

They sweat it off

Anyone can do it — walk, jog, ride or swim at their own pace. Every activity is verified by Strava or GPS and decrements the debt live, in front of everyone.

Built on trust

Verified, not vibes. Repayments are backed by Strava activities or uploaded GPS files, with plausibility checks. Self-reported entries are clearly badged so donors can judge for themselves.

Money goes to the cause. Payments are processed by Stripe and settle directly to the fundraiser or organisation — SweatDebt never holds your funds. We're kept free by an optional tip at checkout.

Give the internet permission to ruin your week.

For a registered charity, a personal cause, or pure bragging rights. Anyone can start one.
